我们究竟是什么使我们成为“人类”？早期人类社会是如何运作的？尼安德特人与我们有多大不同，以及为什么他们灭绝了？冰河时代的生活是怎样的？在充满活力的研究环境中，辩论这些问题以及许多其他问题，同时积累关于三百万至五千年前早期史前社会的知识和经验。
人类起源考古学是一个引人入胜且充满活力的研究领域，新的证据和理论不断改变我们对自己是谁的解释。
在这门课程中，您将探索人类起源的考古学和方法，与国际知名的早期史前考古学和人类进化专家一起工作。您将有机会参与具有重大媒体曝光潜力的开创性研究，并获得约克博物馆馆藏的“亲身体验”。您可以选择模块来探索自己的研究兴趣，并有机会参加到Creswell Crags的上旧石器时代岩画实地考察。
